Magazine: New Music Editor for Kerrang! Magazine - the biggest weekly music magazine in the world. Running the two-page new band Introducing section as well as working with the company to create new events, ideas and projects.
Radio: Presenting and producing the Kerrang! Magazine Show With Katie P on Kerrang! Radio (online, Local FM, digital and Freeview). Every Sunday, 5pm till 8pm.

JOB TITLE: Freelance writer for NME.com working on news stories for NME.com/METAL and writing blogs for the site.

JOB TITLE: Video presenter, reporter and social networking.
Responsibilities: Presenting the weekly Red Bull Bedroom Jam show for the Red Bull website, interviewing music talent, interacting with new bands and fans, updating social networking sites, travelling to UK festivals a representative of Bedroom Jam.

TRIDENT PERPETUAL FESTIVAL GUIDE
DATES: May 10 2010 – January 10 2011
JOB TITLE: International guide for the Trident Perpetual Festival experience.
Responsibilities: Selected from over 5,000 applicants, I was chosen to be the international reporter for a 30 Festivals In 30 Weeks global campaign. The role is to travel to a different festival every week, and report back on the event in the form of band interviews, blogging, photos, videos and social media updates. Each week I am also a chaperone to two competition winners, arranging their days and activities in different cities/countries and ensuring they have an enjoyable time.

KERRANG! MAGAZINE
DATES: March 2007 – May 2010
JOB TITLE: Introducing Editor/Senior Staff Writer
Responsibilities:
- Introducing Editor: commissioning, picking and writing the one-page ‘new band’ feature in Kerrang!.
- Senior Staff Writer: writing features for the magazines, of varying length and style.
- News Assistant: sourcing, writing, commissioning and arranging parts of the Kerrang! news section. Involved arranging interviews, photo shoots and last-minute adjustments to ensure it is as up to date as possible.
- Website: updating news stories on the Kerrang! site using their specially created system. Creating features for the site, running the competition section of the site.
-Online Podcasts: helping to present and create the Kerrang! audio and video podcasts - which can be downloaded onto people’s iPods or computers or viewed on YouTube.
-Kerrang! Tour: Reporter for the annual Kerrang! UK Tour, travelling around the country doing daily updates/interviews with bands/fans around the UK/Ireland – using Kerrang.com/YouTube/Facebook/Twitter etc.

DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL REPORTER
DATES: Summer 2009
JOB TITLE: Presenter for the Lowdown at Download 2009.
Responsibilities: Presenter for Download TV (The Lowdown) before and during Download Festival 2009. Arranging interviews with bands for the pre-festival build up, and onsite video interviews with all the bands at the festival to be hosted on the screens on the side of the main stage.

XFM RADIO
DATES: June 2007 – March 2008
JOB TITLE: Presenter for XFM Rock Show, Sunday/Saturday nights, 10pm till 1am.
Responsibilities:
-Presenting the Live XFM Rock Show show across the entire nationwide network to around 100,000 listeners.
-Producing and engineering the show.
-Picking the playlist.
-Conducting all the band interviews for broadcast.

BBC RADIO ONE
June 2005 - June 2008.
JOB TITLE: Presenter on the Rock Show and Punk Show.
Responsibilities:
- Recording and presenting interviews with bands for the BBC Radio One Rock Show and Punk Show, including all the backstage interviews for: Reading festival, Download festival, Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards, Kerrang! Awards, Eurovision Song Contest and various other events throughout the year.

METAL HAMMER MAGAZINE
DATES: May 2004 - January 2007
JOB TITLE: Reviews Editor
Responsibilities:
- Reviews Editor: commissioning, organising, picking and subbing the album, games and live reviews section of the magazine. Involved liaising with freelance writers, PRs and record labels, and working with a high standard of organisation and time keeping.
- Incoming Editor: commissioning, organising, picking, subbing and writing a selection of the Incoming, New Band section of Metal Hammer. Involved keeping a track of new and upcoming bands from around the world, liaising with freelance writers, PRs and record labels and keeping to the deadlines, house style and time keeping of the monthly magazine cycle.
- Staff Writer: writing features for the magazine.

TOTAL ROCK
May 2004 – present day.
JOB TITLE: Radio presenter on www.totalrock.com
Responsibilities:
Working a presenter on Total Rock for a live online radio shows. For three years, this was as the ‘Metal Hammer and Classic Rock Show’, promoting the magazine. After this point it became my own show, recently re-named The Really Good Rock Show.
